This workshop is for absolute beginners or anyone who needs a refresher course in traditional letterpress printing. Learn some of the basics of type setting, inking, and operating the press. By the end of this workshop you should be able to operate the press and make a print!

Space is limited and we are able to accommodate up to six participants. You are best to RSVP in advance via Eventbrite. If not all tickets are sold online, drop in tickets will be sold at the studio. The full cost of the workshop is $40.00 but because we are committed to inclusivity and accessibility we’ve included a sliding scale option. Please pay what you can.

Cara Seccafien has contributed to several organizations in Vancouver and Edmonton as an artist, designer, and administrator. Most recently she has been involved with Powell Street Festival Society, Gallery Gachet, and The Other Press in addition to WePress. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Alberta in Edmonton and has since pursued artist residencies at Malaspina Printmaker’s Society in Vancouver and Paul Art Space in Missouri.
