Bring yourself into a world of magic, creativity and story through this engaging, challenging and team-based animation workshop. Participants will learn what makes animated films different than other forms of film-making and how to make their own Stop-Motion films!
The workshop begins with an introduction to animation, where we see animation, and how we can make our own using 3 simple principles. Teams are then created, with each storyboarding their animation together. Clay characters are then built and animated using an easy-to-use iPad app, which is followed by sound, voice and text/credits. We will finish the workshop with a group screening of the final projects, which will provide an important opportunity to reflect on the experience, and what they learned throughout the day.
In this workshop we focus on the process of creating and the story, in combination with the technique and finished product to produce an empowering and visually pleasing digital product. No prior knowledge of technology or art is needed to participate!
