The WePress space and its programming are open to all. We used to ask people to become members, but that never had anything to do with taking our workshops, using our space and equipment, or attending our events. This was confusing . . . So since September 2016, when WePress became a registered non-profit, we have started asking folks to become a financial supporter if you can. Our supporters are the generous folks who can afford to contribute some funds beyond workshop fees to help WePress keep its doors open and continue its work.
WePress is working to ensure access to the unique equipment we house and the workshops we provide while helping to build a sense of community and fostering a commitment to social justice for all. We work with many other organizations within the Downtown Eastside (DTES), as well as those across the Lower Mainland, to achieve these goals. We hope you will consider supporting these efforts.
Please become a WePress supporter
We want to say a huge thank you to all of our past supporters, and to all of you who have supported WePress since it opened on Chinese New Year in February 2016. We hope you will make a donation to help ensure that free programming can be offered to low-income and marginalized communities.

WePress continues to develop its model, whereby those with resources pay for workshops in order to cover the costs of providing free workshops for low-income and marginalized people. However, we still rely on grants, sponsorships, and donations to make up the difference. Please support our GoFundMe Campaign!
You can also sign up for our paid workshops and come to our events. We appreciate all levels and forms of support!
