Did you budget for the selfie stick for your sister, but forgot about the wrapping paper and card? Need a low-cost and fun solution? Then join us anytime on December 10th between 1 and 5 pm for a drop in, pay what you can workshop on card and wrapping paper making using block prints, lino cuts, and the letterpress!
There will also be xmas tree decoration making in addition to snacks, beverages, and demonstrations of the 3D printer and letterpress. There is also 3D printed items, books, cards, prints, and workshop gift certificates for sale if you’re still looking for a perfect present for your uncle, mom, or friend. This event is for funraising and fundraising! Right now, we need funds to get us to the next granting cycle, and keep going through the beginning of 2017! If you can’t make it to this event, please donate online on our GoFundMe campaign!
We are committed to providing access to our letterpress and type collection, 3D printer, and industrial sewing machine to all, and to developing a social enterprise whereby artists, and low-income and marginalized people can receive payment for their work – for the workshops they teach, the knowledge they share, the artwork they create, and the community they build.
Help us make WePress a vibrant place of work and skills-building for both artists and residents of the DTES by making a donation. Every little bit helps! DONATE NOW.
