Learn to sew a reversible tote bag that can be easily adapted to your unique style and preferences. Whether you want a plain workhorse bag for shopping or an embellished bag to match an outfit, you will get the beginning framework from this workshop. Both hand-sewing and machine-sewing methods will be possible, but depending on the number of participants, there may not be one machine per person, and those using machines will need to have some previous experience and basic sewing machine skills (the basics of machine sewing will not be taught unless time permits). Kristie will show you how your bag can be created using either or both techniques so that you will have the option of how you’d like to put your bag together and add the embellishments.
All equipment and supplies will be provided – including fabric. However, if you have your own fabric that you would like to use for this project, please feel free to bring it to the workshop!
Kristie Bradley has been sewing for decades, and has been selling custom made bags, purses, backpacks and gym bags for five years.
