How to Create a Fantasy Creature

In this workshop, participants will use mixed media techniques to create mythological creatures such as Dragons, Chimeras, Centaurs and more. The format of the workshop will engage beginners and advanced artists.   Some of the materials and techniques introduced will include sketching, acrylic and water colour paint, ink and collage. Dive deep into your imagination and create creatures the likes of which have never been seen.

Artist Bio: My name is Derek Armstrong and I Graduate from Emily Carr University in 2017.  My works include mixed media, comic art, painting and sculpture.  I have worked with Dale Villjuan from community living sources over the last six years. In 2017 I created my first art book of mythological creatures.  I have exhibited work at the Rain City Blue show, the Inclusion Posabilities Art Show and the 2017 Emily Carr Grad Show.  My dream is to become an animator for Walt Disney Animation Studios.
